Wird das "Jahr der Innovation" die Innovationsanstrengungen der sächsischen Industrie beflügeln?

Abstract

Die erste Hälfte des „Jahres der Innovation“ ist vorbei. Die von Politik, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Gewerkschaft vorgeschlagenen Maßnahmen zur Erhöhung der Innovationskraft Deutschlands stecken noch weitgehend in der Explorationsphase. Ob die von Experten diagnostizierten strukturellen Schwächen der derzeitigen „innovationspolitischen Governance“ rasch überwunden werden können, bleibt nach den Erfahrungen der in den vergangenen zehn Jahren zu bezweifeln. Wie die ostdeutschen – und insbesondere die sächsischen – Industrieunternehmen den Innovationsprozess in den Jahren 2002 und 2003 bewältigt haben, wird in diesem Beitrag auf der Basis der Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstests dargestellt.
