    Abstract

    Jahreswachstumsraten spiegeln den konjunkturellen Trend erst mit Verzögerung wider. Die sich abzeichnende Konjunkturerholung im 2. Halbjahr wird sich erst im Wachstum 2003 niederschlagen. Die sächsische Industrie steht auf mittlere Sicht vor großen Herausforderungen, wenn sie ihre Rolle als Wachstumslokomotive weiter spielen will. Die demografische Entwicklung und die drohende Lücke beim qualifizierten Nachwuchs ist nur eine davon.
