Die Wirtschaftsstrukturen verändern sich : das Fallbeispiel Sachsen

Abstract

Der Bericht informiert über die veränderten Wirtschaftsstrukturen in den neuen Bundesländern am Beispiel des Freistaates Sachsen. Während 1989 noch 6,7 % der Erwerbstätigen in der Land- und Forstwirtschaft und 53,1 % im Produzierenden Gewerbe beschäftigt waren, fanden 1995 nur noch 3,2 % bzw. 38,0 % in den jeweiligen Wirtschaftsbereichen Arbeit. Dagegen erhöhte sich der Anteil der Erwerbstätigen im Dienstleistungsbereich von 6,3 % auf 19,8 %. Die damit zusammenhängenden Veränderungen in den entsprechenden Wirtschaftsbereichen, bezogen auf Bruttowertschöpfung, Investition, Produktivitätsentwicklung und Umsatz, werden in dem Bericht analysiert. Es wird deutlich, daß trotz positiver Anätze die sich neu herausbildenden Strukturen bei weitem noch nicht als konsolidiert angesehen werden können und weiterhin hart gekämpft werden muß, um die Bewährungsprobe im Leistungswettbewerb zu bestehen.
