Erdgasversorgung : nach Kraftakt Wachstumspause

Abstract

Unmittelbar vor der Wiedervereinigung wurden in der DDR nur knapp 0,2 Mill. Haushalte vollständig mit Gas beheizt. Inzwischen sind es bereits 1,3 Mill., ein Fünftel aller Wohnungen. Insgesamt haben die ostdeutschen Gasversorgungsunternehmen (GVU) gegenwärtig 3,8 Mill. Kunden, die anstelle des umweltbelastenden, teuren Stadtgases - dem Plan nach bis 1996 - Erdgas erhalten sollen. Da dieses Vorhaben zügig angegangen wurde, sind allein 1991 bis 1993 fast 80 % und unterdessen 98 % aller Tarifkunden umgestellt worden; die restlichen Kunden in Dresden, Leipzig und Magdeburg werden 1995 ebenfalls Erdgas erhalten. In den neuen Bundesländern lag das Investitionsniveau der GVU 1993 schätzungsweise bei reichlich 2,44 Mrd. DM, für 1994 wird ein Rückgang auf unter 1,9 Mrd. DM geschätzt.
