Weltrohstoffpreise mit steigender Tendenz

Abstract

Der Bericht faßt die Ergebnisse einer Tagung der Arbeitsgruppe Rohstoffpreise der Vereinigung Europäischer Konjunkturforschungsinstitute vom April 1994 zusammen. Nach dreijähriger Talfahrt haben die Preise für nicht energetische Rohstoffe im Oktober 1993 den zyklischen Tiefstand erreicht. In den sechs Monaten bis Mitte April 1994 sind die Notierungen auf Dolarbasis um 11 % gestiegen; dabei haben sich die Industrierohstoffe um 13 % und Nahrungs- und Genußmittel um 8 % verteuert. Demgegenüber haben sich Energieträger - vor allem Rohöl - um 9 % verbilligt. Insgesamt ist das Preisniveau, gemessen am HWWA-Index der Weltrohstoffpreise, noch immer 3 % niedriger als vor sechs Monaten. Die Prognosen für 1994 und 1995 sind unter Berücksichtigung einiger Annahmen, wie Zunahme des Welthandels um 6 %, Dollar bleibt aufgewertet, sinkende Inflationsraten zu betrachten. Demnach wird sich auf den Märkten für Industrierohstoffe die Erholung fortsetzen. Die Preise auf dem Rohölmarkt werden konjunkturbedingt steigen. Auf den Märkten für Nahrungs- und Genußmittel werden die Preise 1994 steigen und nach Entspannung der Versorgungslage 1995 stagnieren.
