Produktivitätswachstum in Sachsen ohne beschäftigungswirksame Impulse

Abstract

Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt hat in Deutschland 1993 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 1,2 % abgenommen. In den neuen Bundesländern wurde das BIP insgesamt um 7,1 % erhöht. In Sachsen stieg das reale BIP sogar um 8 % an. Trotz des gestiegenen BIP ist der Beitrag der neuen Bundesländer zum gesamtdeutschen BIP mit 8,9 % immer noch gering. Sachsen erreicht 29,6 % des BIP Ostdeutschlands. Dabei waren der Industriesektor, Dienstleistungssektor und der Staat die wichtigsten Wirtschaftsbereiche in Sachsen. Der Bericht faßt die Bruttowertschöpungen der einzelnen Wirtschaftsbereiche der Jahre 1992 und 1993, bezogen auf Sachsen und die alten Bundesländer zusammen. Insgesamt wurde festgestellt, daß trotz steigender Arbeitsproduktivität die Zahl der Erwerbstätigen abnahm. Vor allem in der sächsischen Forst- und Landwirtschaft wurde eine Steigerung der Produktivität um 135,6 % erreicht. Trotz aller Produktivitätsteigerung bleibt Sachsen in allen Wirtschaftsbereichen weit unter den westdeutschen Produktivitätskennziffern. Im Jahr 1992 lag die durchschnittliche Produktivität bei 42,6 % des westdeutschen Durchschnitts.
