Amérique latine : le rappel des fondamentaux

Abstract

Sortie de la crise en 2010, l'Amérique latine a tiré parti jusqu'en 2012 d'un environnement international plutôt porteur. La crise des dettes souveraines dans la zone euro, combinée à une politique de bas taux d'intérêt aux États-Unis, a réorienté les flux de capitaux vers les pays émergents. Dès lors, l'amélioration de la situation économique et financière dans les grandes économies développées s'accompagne depuis l'année dernière d'un retournement en Amérique latine. Affaiblie par le fort ralentissement du commerce international depuis 2012 et par de moindres entrées des capitaux en 2013, la région enregistre depuis deux ans de piètres performances économiques qui contrastent avec l'embellie de 2010-2011, où au dynamisme de la demande étrangère, s'ajoutait un environnement financier anormalement porteur. Le problème est qu'aujourd'hui le retournement de l'environnement international fait apparaître les déséquilibres qu'il faut désormais corriger.
