[eng] This note proposes a model describing the adjustment between supply and demand of small service jobs in a framework which takes an explicit account of labour force heterogeneity and of substitutability between these jobs and domestic production. We analyze the way in which this adjustement is affected by transfers, by the existence of a minimum wage and by targeted subventions. The model gives predictions concerning the overall quantity of such jobs, their remuneration, and the overall distribution of well-being and income in the total population.
