[eng] In this paper, we try to measure the effect of French training programs on the frequency of job offers received by young unemployed recipients, but also on the distribution of wages which are offered to them in regular jobs. For this purpose, we estimate a structural job search model specifying probabilities of transition between unemployment, training programs, and regular employment. The underlying assumption is that the occurrence of a training program, and especially of the program with the highest training content, modifies parameters of the individual search process. Results show that the experience of a training program increases the job arrival rate for the less educated people, while public programs characterized by the highest training level generate higher wage offers.
