Abstract

This paper analyses trade distortion effects of various agricultural income support instruments. There is free entry and exit. Farmers are heterogeneous and the land market explicitly entails trades of land from low ability to high ability producers. Policy implications are derived in the context of WTO agricultural negotiations on the internal support dossier. Classification JEL : Q17, Q18, F13
