L'impact de la microfinance : un enjeu politique au prisme de ses controverses scientifiques

Abstract

A widespread assumption states that rigorous impact evaluations are new and that it has recently been discovered that microfinance is not a panacea against poverty. However, analysing 154 impact, we show that this issue is far from being new and has long been controversial. Quantitative, academic and proof-oriented approaches are taking over, leaving little room for practitioner-oriented approaches.
