Abstract

Based on a research applied to five African countries, we analyze high degree graduates? destinies in order to understand the influence of their European scholarship on their daily life and on the evolution of their country. The effect of their training appears to be limitedly related to the emergence of an ?elite? and to the development of their own country; however, their professional and private life is dramatically changed.
