Le développement territorialisé à Douala : fondements et repérage des modalités institutionnelles d'une dynamique nouvelle

Abstract

This article aims to present the new dynamics led by the Douala Urban Community in order to provide a better environment for entrepreneurship in this city, which is the first economic centre of Cameroon and the CEMAC sub-region. This new municipal board?s attitude is foundamentally grounded on the theoretical model of "local and territorial development". The latter explains why and how emerging new actors (such as local institutions, local state or collective private/public actors,... ) are able to influence deeply the process of economic and social transformations.
