Globálne problémy v optike summitu G8 v St. Petersburgu

Abstract

Príspevok je venovaný summitu najvyspelejších krajín sveta a Ruska (tzv. skupiny G8), ktorý sa uskutočnil v dňoch 15. – 17. júla 2006 na predmestí ruského Petrohradu v Strelni. Približuje náplň a závery hlavných debatných tém tohtoročnej schôdzky – globálna energetická bezpečnosť, vzdelávanie, boj s nákazlivými chorobami – ktoré navrhla hostiteľská krajina po konzultácii s partnermi v G8. Účastníci summitu schválili Akčný plán na posilnenie globálnej energetickej bezpečnosti a rad ďalších spoločných vyhlásení. Viacerí lídri G8 sa vyslovili za rozšírenie skupiny o najväčšie rýchlo rastúce rozvojové ekonomiky ako sú Čína či India.
