NATO, Balkán a verejná diplomacia

Abstract

Článok analyzuje, ako vnímajú organizáciu NATO na Balkáne a objasňuje rozdiely medzi štátmi. Následne využíva poznatky teórie konštruktivizmu a odborníkov, ktorí vysvetľujú, že negatívne postoje k NATO sa menia k pozitívnemu vďaka dlhoročnej prítomnosti organizácie a EÚ na Balkáne. Autor síce súhlasí s daným tvrdením, argumentuje však, že vzhľadom na to, že verejná mienka o NATO na Balkáne je špecifická, NATO by vo svojej verejnej diplomacii nemalo zostávať len na úrovni informačnej kampane. Na zmenu postojov by malo zakomponovať tretiu, avšak zatiaľ málo objavenú dimenziu verejnej diplomacie – spoluprácu.
