Vybrané aspekty energetickej politiky Taiwanu

Abstract

Článok sa zaoberá vybranými aktuálnymi tendenciami v taiwanskom energetickom sektore. Pre hospodársky rozvoj Taiwanu, ako ostrovnej krajiny, hrala energetická sebestačnosť kľúčovú úlohu. Hlavnými zdrojmi energie sú konvenčné uhľovodíkové palivá – ropa, uhlia, zemný plyn – pri ktorých krajina vykazuje extrémne vysokú závislosť na dovoze. V nadväznosti na liberalizáciu sektora v 90. rokoch, a osobitne nedávne udalosti vo Fukušime, čelí Taiwan výzve zabezpečenia energetickej sebestačnosti a reštrukturalizácie energetického sektoru s možným utlmením jadrovej energetiky.
