Działalność Korpusu Ochrony Pogranicza w systemie bezpieczeństwa II Rzeczypospolitej

Abstract

V septembri 1924 minister vojenských záležitostí vydal rozkaz o vytvorení Korpusu Ochrony Pogranicza - KOP (Zbor ochrany pohraničia). Zbor mal realizovať vymedzené bezpečnostné úlohy na východnej hranici. Podmienky činnosti Zboru boli mimoriadne ťažké. Pohraničie so Sovietskym zväzom bolo obývané prevažné národnostnými menšinami. Jeho obyvateľstvo bolo nevraživo naladené voči poľskému štátu. Kontrarozviedka KOP rozpracovala pomerne veľký počet prípadov sovietskych špiónov. Napriek tomu sa mu nepodarilo úplne ovládnuť východnú hranicu. Treba prihliadnuť k možnostiam pôsobenia Zboru. Spolupráca s inými službami zodpovednými za bezpečnosti štátu mala ďaleko od želaní. Možno pripustiť, že kontrarozviedka KOP napriek existujúcim prekážkam vykonávala úlohy na hranici vlastných možností.
