Desajuste en competencias entre la oferta y la demanda de trabajo en España

Abstract

El mercado de trabajo español presenta un nivel de desempleo de larga duración mucho más elevado y persistente que el de otros países desarrollados, especialmente en determinados colectivos, como el de la población con menor formación. Las causas de este problema son múltiples, pero entre ellas podría encontrarse el desajuste entre las competencias laborales demandadas y las ofrecidas por los individuos que buscan un empleo. Con el objetivo de analizar esta cuestión, en el presente artículo se estima un índice de desajuste en competencias basado en las tareas utilizadas en el puesto de trabajo. Se analizan también las diferencias de este índice con respecto a otros países y las contribuciones de diferentes tipos de tareas a la empleabilidad de los distintos colectivos de parados en España.
