Good Practices Analysis in Export of Cosmetic Products in a Crisis

Abstract

Bulgarian economy faces one of the worst crises in recent years. It is associated with a deep consumption and production recession in most industrial sectors of the economy. One of the industrial sectors which have good development prospects is the sector of manufacture of chemical products. Most recent studies suggest that this is the most dynamically developing sectors of Bulgarian industry, which not loses, but wins in a crisis. Main reasons for this sector growth are as the consumer oriented products as well as a high degree of innovation and continuous developing of these products. The basic aim of the article is to identify such appropriate practices that could be used for enforcing the business growth in sloping markets. According to the basic aim the next tasks are identified: • Analyzing common condition of one industry resp. Cosmetic industry; • Identifying some basic conditions for business growth within the analyzed industrial sector; • Exploring good business practices within Bulgarian Cosmetic industry. The next research questions have arisen from the defined tasks: • What is typical for the Bulgarian cosmetic industry in a crisis? • Are there good practices of the Bulgarian cosmetics companies? • What are the growth prospects of the cosmetics companies in the upcoming years? Answers of the questions above are given in the next article. These findings are limited by different restrictions as follows: the access to corporate information and the absence of sufficient information on the export of Bulgarian cosmetics products abroad. According to the above, the object of the article is Bulgarian cosmetic and specifically its individual representatives. The subject of research is set as follows: growth of the Bulgarian cosmetics by implementing good management practices.
