Unfair practices regulation trends in the Italian financial sector

Abstract

After three years since its implementation in Italy, the European Directive on unfair practices is now fully operating in the Italian system. It is now desirable that the use of this legislation takes into account the additional rules and regulations implemented in specific sectors (such as banking), ensuring the necessary coordination between the authorities involved. At European level, the next revision of the Directive is an opportunity to propose possible amendments to introduce an higher level of harmonization
