A Indústria de Bens de Capital no Processo de Industrialização na Década de 1930: Crescimento e Diversificação no Estado de São Paulo

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é fazer um resgate ao tema da industrialização e mostrar a importância da indústria de bens de capital (indústria de máquinas, metalúrgica, de transporte e elétrica) para o processo de industrialização no estado de São Paulo na década de 1930, tentando responder algumas questões em aberto na historiografia. Qual a importância da década de 1930 para o processo de industrialização no estado de São Paulo? Quais as mudanças na estrutura industrial nesta década? Quais as mudanças na estrutura da própria indústria de bens de capital? Tentaremos contribuir com a historiografia tratando do debate na qual os efeitos da Grande Depressão da década de 1930 foram favoráveis ou não para a indústria de bens de capital.
