Abstract

Air traffic management is one of the most important factors affecting the productivity of airlines. There are important relations between air traffic management operations and economic performance of airlines. Main objective of the air traffic management is to provide safe, expeditious and economic flights. Meeting these three objectives at the same time causes flight deviations from the original flight plans (delays, excess time-fuel costs, e.g.). In addition, air traffic services provided also become costs for the airlines. In this paper, air traffic en-route charges are important cost item for the airlines is analysed.
