Abstract

This paper presents the evolution of exchange rate relative to major currencies, especially in 2008-2010 and forecast for 2011 to maintain relatively stable RON/Euro exchange rate around today. Since the exchange rate is expected to remain stable in the short term and the prospect of Romania's accession to the European Monetary Union in 2015 is still possible.
