Abstract

The theoretical approach to the research project entitled "Protected agriculture and processes of innovation in the comiteca plateau" is mainly based on the actors perspective. The general notion of the term innovation refers to the ideas new and improvements, both with positive connotations and which are closely linked to the development of man as member of the human species. The improvements that man has constantly incorporated into their way of life in different areas undoubtedly mark important differences in the quality of life. It is possible to think about the prehistoric era men and these imagining how changes could be introduced in order to get protected from bad weather or get food. Precisely, human development takes place because of thinking but above all, because of implementing new ideas. Either small improvements and the articulation of these or a radical single change gives rise to processes of thinking also involving actions, assimilations, acceptances, resistances or an open rejection to something that means adjustments to regular processes performed by man. The adjustments are linked to social, cultural, politics and economics areas, the last one is the area where the research project is circumscribed. Contemporary discussions related to the concept innovation involve aspects such as local, regional and national innovation systems; knowledge and its construction; coding processes; actors cognitive schema and so on. This paper emphasizes the importance of evolution in the meaning of the term innovation once organization is incorporated as an aspect that allows to give an account of new and improved organizational dynamics in order to achieve agreements linked to an economic activity.
