Rapport sur les travaux scientifiques de Maurice Allais

Abstract

Maurice Allais est sans aucun doute l'un des économistes les plus éminents de sa génération. Il a eu depuis 1945 une influence décisive, directe et indirecte, sur le développement de la recherche économique en France et, par là même, sur son ouverture à la communauté scientifique économique internationale. D'abord ingénieur, il enseigne l'économie à l'École des Mines de Paris jusque dans des années 70. Après la seconde guerre mondiale, il attire auprès de lui de jeunes et brillants économistes comme Marcel Boiteux, Gérard Debreu, Jacques Lesourne, Edmond Malinvaud, André Nataf... Maurice Allais a eu un impact énorme sur notre discipline, tant en France qu'au niveau international. Cet impact est dû à l'importance des résultats scientifiques obtenus non seulement par lui même, mais aussi par ses élèves ou disciples.
